Solutions · For posters with a shelf life

QR codes for events, posters & venues

An event poster has a strange lifecycle: it matters for six weeks and is wrong for most of them. Before the event it should sell tickets; on the day it should show the schedule and the map; afterwards it's still on the wall — and it could be selling next year's early birds instead of pointing at a dead page.

A dynamic code gives the same sheet of paper all three jobs. Print once, then move the destination through the phases from your phone — and because a schedule change on the day is exactly when you can't reprint anything, the repoint takes effect on the very next scan.

The playbook

Step 1

Three phases, one print

Point the code at ticketing while posters go up, switch it to the live schedule on the morning of the event, and land it on the aftermovie or next year's waitlist when it's over. You can even schedule a live window so the code behaves differently outside event hours.

Step 2

Learn which posters work

A folder per venue or per city, and the analytics show scans per code with hour-of-day detail — so next season's poster budget goes to the train stations that scanned, not the ones that didn't.

Step 3

Fifty posters, one look

Save the design as a template — colours, corner styles, logo — and every code drawn from it matches. Every style ships decode-verified, so the designed version scans as reliably as the plain one.

Questions this buyer asks

Can the code stop working after the event?

If you want it to, yes — set an end to its live window and choose where late scans land, like a 'you missed it, here's next year' page. Or leave it live and repoint it; the printed code is reusable for as long as the paper survives.

We print through an agency — can they manage the codes?

Invite them into the workspace with an editor role: they manage codes and designs but can't touch billing or members. Available on Scale and above.
