A dynamic code encodes a short link that we resolve, so you can change the destination after printing and we can count scans. A static code encodes the destination itself: nothing to redirect, so it can never be changed and there is nothing to count — but it works forever, with no dependency on any service. You choose per code, and static codes don't count against your plan.

Static codes keep working — they don't rely on us at all. Dynamic codes resolve through a short link, so they need an active plan. If you're printing something permanent and don't need tracking, make it static.

Yes, for dynamic codes. Edit the destination and every existing print starts pointing at the new address immediately. The image doesn't change, so nothing needs reprinting.

For every scan of a dynamic code: when it happened, the country, region and city, the device, operating system and browser, and the referring site if there was one. Bots and crawlers are recorded but kept out of your numbers. We never store the scanner's IP address or anything that identifies them — location is resolved at the network edge and only the answer is kept. How far back you can look depends on the plan; see the retention question below.

Growth and Scale keep 90 days, Business keeps 180, and Enterprise keeps whatever your contract says. Past that the individual scan records are deleted rather than hidden — we would rather not hold data nobody is paying to keep, and neither should you. Each code's lifetime scan total is a counter and survives, so a code that has been scanned 40,000 times still says so. Export before a window lapses if you need the detail: the Excel export on Scale and above takes the whole library, and the per-scan CSV takes the detail.

Yes, three ways. Every code exports as artwork in five formats. The per-scan CSV gives one row per scan with its location, device and campaign tags, on every plan. And Scale and above add an Excel export of the whole library — one row per code with its folder, destination, short link, campaign tags, redirect rules and scan totals, plus a sheet explaining every column.

PNG, SVG, JPG, PDF and EPS, for every code — dynamic and static are drawn by the same renderer, so both export the same five formats. SVG or PDF is the one to hand a printer: vector, so it's sharp at any size.

They can, which is why we check. Every dot pattern and corner style we offer is decoded automatically before release, and codes with a centre logo are generated at the highest error-correction level so the covered area is recoverable.

Monthly or annual, in USD, through our payment partner — a PCI-compliant processor, so your card details never touch our servers. Annual gives you two months free. Your plan sets how many live QR codes you can hold; you can change plan at any time and the new limit applies straight away.

PIXELQODE runs on Cloudflare Workers and stores everything in a managed Neon Postgres database on AWS, encrypted at rest and in transit. Passwords are handled by a managed authentication service and never reach our code; card details are handled by the payment processor and never reach our servers. There are no third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site. You can ask for an export or a deletion at any time.

Not as a company — Hostelastic Technologies LLP is small and we won't imply an audit we haven't had. The infrastructure underneath us does: Cloudflare and AWS both hold SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
