Email QR code generator — scan to a prefilled draft

An email QR code opens the visitor's own mail app with your address — and optionally the subject — already filled in. The person scanning writes one line and sends; nobody retypes an address off a poster, which means nobody mistypes it either.

It shines wherever a form would be friction: service counters, packaging inserts ("problems? scan here"), equipment labels that should route to the right inbox with the right subject.

Logo

This is the app's own renderer and its own scannability check, running in your browser — the logo included never leaves your device. Every preset on this shelf is decode-audited before it ships.

Scannability: Excellent

No watermark, no account. Print-grade: whole pixels per module.

The mailto: format. Add ?subject= to prefill the subject line — spaces become %20. You can chain &body= for opening text, but keep it short.

How to get it right

Step 1

Set the address and subject

The subject is the routing trick: "Warranty — Model X" lands categorised in your inbox without a form or a helpdesk. Encode spaces as %20.

Step 2

Keep the body short or empty

A prefilled body makes the grid dense and reads as canned. The subject does the work; let the customer write the rest.

Step 3

Check the draft, then print

Scan and confirm the draft opens with the right address and subject on both platforms, then download a vector file for print.

The honest catch

This code is permanent. That's its strength — and its limit.

What you make here is a static code: the content is encoded in the grid itself, it never expires, and it needs nothing from us to keep working — print it and forget us. The one thing it can never do is change. A dynamic code encodes a short link you can repoint any time after printing, counts every scan, and can carry your own domain. That's the paid product, and it starts with a free trial.

Questions

What if the scanner has no mail app set up?

The phone offers whatever mail apps it has; a phone with none will show the address so it can be copied. If your audience may not use email at all, a WhatsApp or phone code reaches them faster.

Can I change the address after printing?

Not on a static code — the address is in the grid. Route through a dynamic code if the inbox might change; the printed code then outlives your org chart.
