Terms of Service

PixelQode is operated by Hostelastic Technologies LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India under LLPIN ACL-6671 with the Registrar of Companies, Kolkata, holding GSTIN 19AARFH8772K1ZD, with its registered office at 78 Vidya Sagar Road, Kolkata, West Bengal 700077. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Hostelastic Technologies LLP, and “you” means the person or organisation using the service.

Payments are taken by our payment partner, a PCI-compliant payment processor acting as merchant of record for your purchase. Your payment is therefore a contract with them for the transaction itself, and with us for the service it buys. We will name the processor on the checkout page and on your receipt, and we never see or store your card details.

PixelQode lets you generate, manage, download and track QR codes. Two kinds behave differently and the difference matters:

• Dynamic codes encode a short link that resolves through our QR service provider. You can change the destination after printing, and scans can be counted. They depend on that redirect continuing to operate.
• Static codes encode the destination directly in the image. They cannot be changed or tracked, and they keep working regardless of whether your account, our service or our provider still exists.

If you are printing something permanent and do not need tracking, we recommend a static code. We say this here because it is the single most consequential choice you will make on the platform.

You must give accurate registration details and keep your password secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at support@pixelqode.com if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.

Accounts are provisioned by us after sign-up. We may decline or delay provisioning where we cannot verify the details given.

Each plan sets the number of live dynamic QR codes your workspace may hold. Static codes are unlimited on every plan and do not count towards the limit. Current prices and limits are on the pricing page.

Fees are charged in advance, monthly or annually as you choose, and renew automatically until cancelled. Taxes are calculated at checkout. Add-ons are charged as described at the point of purchase: code top-ups renew with your plan, and assistance services are one-off and quoted before any charge is made.

We may change prices. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email, and the change will take effect at your next renewal rather than mid-term.

You can cancel at any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and is not renewed after that. Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.

After cancellation, static codes you have downloaded continue to work indefinitely — they do not rely on us. Dynamic codes resolve through our provider’s redirect, and we cannot guarantee that redirect will continue, or that it will remain free of advertising, once your plan ends. Download the artwork you need before you cancel.

You must not use PixelQode to point codes at malware, phishing, fraudulent payment pages, or content that is illegal where it is distributed. The full rules are in our acceptable use policy, and breaking them is grounds for immediate suspension.

You keep ownership of everything you put into the service — the destinations you encode, the names you give codes, and the artwork generated from them. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service for you: to store that content, generate codes from it, and pass what is necessary to our QR service provider so dynamic codes resolve.

We aim to keep the service available at all times, but no online service is perfect. Customers on Scale, Business and Enterprise have a contractual uptime commitment and service credits under our service level agreement. On other plans the service is provided without an uptime commitment.

Parts of the service depend on a third-party QR provider. Where that provider is unavailable, features that rely on it may be degraded even though PixelQode itself is running. Our SLA states exactly what this does and does not cover.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or our acceptable use policy, that is being used unlawfully, or on which fees are unpaid. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a reasonable chance to fix it first.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business, or the cost of reprinting materials.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
